We're looking a Great new team member! [Full-time]

Occu-Med Health Services has an immediate opening for a First Aid Instructor.  This is a permanent position, which could be 1/2 to full-time, depending on the candidate.  Hours may vary from week to week in all cases.

What are we looking for?

First & foremost - we're looking for someone that fits with our organization and our team. We want people who have a "can do" attitude.  Secondly, we need someone with great attention to detail,  and at least reasonable computer skills.

The selected candidate will conduct First Aid training at our location and at client sites in Southwestern Ontario, and may also deliver additional training or other services as part of our Service Delivery teams.  

The Job:

We need a team member that will deliver primarily Emergency First Aid and Standard First Aid courses (Red Cross).  
The job involves:

  • travel to client sites in Southern Ontario;
  • occasional overnight stays at hotels  (as required on a job-by-job basis);
  • interaction with a large number of our client's employees during the testing process;
  • occasional odd hours, like early morning starts, as dictacted by our client's schedule(s);

The requirements:

The successful applicant will have:

  • Above average attention to detail.
  • Basic computer literacy.
  • Good ability to communicate in English, since communicating with clients is a key requirement.
  • Ability to problem-solve and troubleshoot basic technology setup (like laptop<>projector)
  • Clean driving record.
  • Outstanding willingness to serve others.
  • Ability to maintain professionalism when working under stress

  • That you be willing to work with the team - and pitch in when necessary.
  • That you be passionate about presenting your ideas during discussion - but know that we all head in the same direction once the decision is made.

Compensation:

Compensation will be commensurate with experience, according to our existing pay schedules.
